-Massage for Lyme & Fibromyalgia
My technique helps reduce the stress, anxiety, depression, mental fog, and physical fatigue often associated with Lyme Disease, Fibromyalgia, and other chronic illnesses. It is also helpful for relieving constipation and other symptoms related to digestion affected by nervous tension.
Clients who suffer from chronic and auto-immune illnesses often find themselves in so much pain or so afflicted by chronic fatigue that it feels impossible to get the level of movement and exercise needed to stimulate sufficient circulation of the lymph. This can kickstart or perpetuate a cycle of being sedentary and subsequent declining health. This treatment is designed to help the client fight back against these forces, and to reclaim a sense of power over their well-being. We conclude the session with brief energy work and time to rest.
It is highly recommended that following this treatment you drink plenty of water and make time to rest. Since this technique is demanding on the body, and a more subtle equivalent to a full work out, it is advisable that you avoid any strenuous activity for as much as 24-48 hours post-treatment. This way you give your body the space to rest and heal.
Please see “Servies & Rates” or contact me to discuss discounts for multiple sessions.
-Hot Stone Therapy
Hot Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Deep Tissue Massage with Rebecca Nann is started using Hot Stone Therapy to prepare the body to receive the deeper work.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body.
According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
Foot reflexology can be added on to a regular massage. For a real treat turn your 60 minute Swedish into a 90 minute Swedish with foot reflexology!
-Deep Tissue Massage
This technique begins with a hot stone massage to soften and relax the tissues in preparation for deep work.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body. Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries. Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable. Keep in mind that soreness is pretty common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid with the flushing and removal of toxins that will have been released from the deep tissue during the session.
I recommend this technique for clients who have high-stress and muscle tension. Deep tissue is beneficial to those who live with chronic pain and severe tension that is relieved by deep pressure. I especially recommend this technique to individuals living with PTSD or other conditions that involve a disconnection from or desensitization to physical sensation or pain.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy aims to gently and rhythmically move the lymph through the body, especially swollen areas of the body, relieving pressure and enhancing the functioning of the immune system. As both a preventative and remedial technique, LD can be used for a wide range of purposes including faster recovery from injury, reduction of swelling and discomfort from pregnancy, and strengthened resistance to illness.
I recommend this technique to clients living with chronic Lyme Disease. If you feel you’d benefit from this technique but are living with constipation I recommend Neuromuscular Technique and Swedish abdominal massage. Once the constipation has been relieved try LD and experience the incredible benefits of this technique!
A 30 minute duration is good as an add-on to Neuromuscular technique or as a shorter session that focuses on a specific area of concern. Try a 60 minute LD session for a full body treatment.
Neuromuscular therapy is a system of massage techniques that were developed in the 1930's by Dr. Stanley Lief in England. It uses a holistic approach towards healing, emphasizing and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. Neuromuscular therapy also enhances the function of joints and muscles, and accelerates the overall healing process by facilitating the release of endorphins.
For clients with a delicate immune system, this is an excellent technique for supporting the nervous system and reducing muscle tension in a gentle way. NMT can be combined with Lymphatic Drainage. This is a safe and effective combination for clients who are sedentary, living with a depressed or delicate immune system, or who need assistance with circulation.
-Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger Point Therapy is offered as a thirty minute add on to Swedish massage, thirty minutes for concentrated focus on a specific area of concern, or one hour for a fuller body treatment.
Trigger Point Therapy is a style of bodywork that focuses on stimulating and releasing "trigger points" in your body. Trigger points are tender areas of tension similar to acupressure points, except they occur in the belly of the muscle rather than along the energy pathways of the body. These "knots" are built up throughout a person's life due to physical, mental, and/or emotional stress. During a session, focused pressure is applied through a variety of techniques order to release your trigger points. This process can be quite painful at times, yet the effects are lasting and profoundly transformative.
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.
-Swedish Massage w/Reflexology
Enjoy the benefits of a full body Swedish massage and a full foot reflexology treatment! This makes a wonderful Mother’s Day gift.
-Swedish w/Trigger Point
Enjoy the benefits of a full body Swedish massage with the added bonus of focused work that gets deeper into areas needing extra attention.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension right in your home or workplace. You receive your massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. With seated massage, you can avoid the discomfort and awkwardness that you may feel in disrobing for a traditional massage. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule.
Chair massage can be offered in schools and in workplaces for special events. It is a perfect way to end finals week by providing relief of stress. Celebrate the closing of a deal, express gratitude to your employees, or boost morale with 5-30 minute chair massages. Special rates apply for day-long and group bookings at the workplace. HOLISTIC HEALING SERVICES
Energy work is helpful for all individuals regardless of age or health status and can be easily practiced anywhere. It is
especially helpful for those whose conditions are too sensitive for bodywork or who’re uncomfortable with touch.
Energy work is based on the belief that everyone has a "life force", and that the body needs to sustain its balance for optimum health. Anytime you experience emotional or physical illness, it indicates that your life force has simply become unbalanced. I work directly with your energy field to restore balance and flow to your entire system. And once your energy field has been restored to full health, your body will follow.
My technique has been compared to craniosacral therapy and polarity therapy by other healers and body workers. I use restorative yoga and breathwork to ease your mind and body into a state of deep relaxation. Massage is then applied before meditation immersion. The guided meditation techniques are derived from the Elemental Mandala of Emotions, and other systems of chakra healing or earth-based wisdom medicine.
These sessions are profoundly relaxing, balancing the koshas (the physical, mental, emotional and energetic layers of your being) and the chakras, and restoring to your energy levels while reducing physical discomfort and tension. All individuals benefit from this technique. I especially recommend it to those with a demanding work or family life, chronic pain, auto-immune illness, and anxiety disorders or trauma.
This service offers a customized blend of multiple modalities that optimize your experience. We begin with a two hour session that includes the initial consultation and your first treatment. We will work together to design a series of sessions that target your wellness goals, meet your budget, and works with your schedule.
Similar to the individual sessions. With a small group ranging from four to eight people, you get the savings without sacrificing the personalized attention.
